About this Gathering
I am obsessed with this new needlepoint hobby! The secret is all in how you hold the needle. Once you know it, you won't be able to stop. Come over to my place and I'll show you what I've learned so far. I will provide the kit. You will each get your own punch needle tool and threader, fabric marker, wooden hoop, fabric, selection of threads and I'll even make the tea. We will use embroidery floss (6 strands) -- some folks do needle punch with yarn too, but this session will use the finer tipped tool and floss. We will do some practicing together. I'll show you the basics. And you will take your kit home to keep on punching. It's a really relaxing craft -- or if you want to work out your frustrations - there is nothing like stabbing tight fabric with a sharp object, lol.
What to Expect at a Knock
- 🚪Small group — Sessions are typically 3 to 8 people. Intimate enough to learn, small enough that everyone is included.
- 🙋No experience needed — Most neighbours are complete beginners. Your host will guide you through everything.
- 📍Address shared 24 hours before — You will receive the exact address by email the day before your session.
- ⏱️120 minutes — Arrive a couple of minutes early to settle in.
- 💬Message your host — Have a question before the session? You can message Kim directly after booking.
🎒 What to bring
You don't need to bring anything. I will pick up all the supplies ( the fee for the session includes the kit ).
